The
couples got together in New York, with the Beckhams taking sons Brooklyn, Romeo
and Cruz to Tom’s Manhattan apartment. They
joined his adoptive children with Nicole Kidman, Isabella and Connor, for a
family catch up.
Actress
Katie Holmes had already left with daughter Suri to prepare for her performance
in Broadway play All My Sons. Later
in the day, the Beckhams headed off to the theatre for the show, leaving their
three sons with a babysitter.
Footie
star David showed his gentlemanly side outside the theatre when he helped a
female paparazzo who had fallen over while trying get snaps of the A-list
couple.
After
the play, the whole group, including the kids headed off to II Cantinori for
dinner.
When
the Beckhams moved to the US, they struck up an immediate friendship with the
Cruises and were often pictured out together.
However,
there has been speculation recently they had fallen out and were no longer in
contact. Possible reasons for a tiff were thought to be the Beckhams refusal to
join the Scientology cult, of which Tom is a dedicated member or Katie’s
attempt at stealing Posh’s fashion designer crown with her own clothing label.
