The simple agony of sharing
Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year with your birthday, makes you not to look
forward to your birthday every year. The things below are things you will
understand and relate to.
1.
If your birthday is on a famous holiday, it is never just about you.
2.
If it is on Christmas day, you might as well just be invisible.
3.
You have tried to get people you know to modify their holidays, at least enough
to accommodate your birthday.
4.
If you express any resentment toward sharing celebrations with the holiday,
people make you feel like a total monster.
5.
Your birthdays don’t usually have balloons but lights.
6.
People with non-holiday birthdays just don’t get your pain.
7.
When you find someone else with a birthday near yours, they feel like a kindred
spirit.
8.
Your plans to go out are thwarted, because places are closed for the holiday.
9.
You sometimes trick yourself into believing that people are celebrating your
birthday and not the season.
10. When people make a
big deal or take the extra step to actually celebrate your birthday it’s like
heaven for you at that moment.
11. You have come
to accept your holiday birthday, because you get to celebrate in your own way
and there would be so much to eat and feast on.
